The Valley’s premier wing eating competition runs every Wednesday from now through August at a different Native New Yorker in Arizona. 2010′s Grand prize is a Harley from Chandler Harley Davidson and the runner up wins a pair of 2011 Arizona Diamondback season tickets.
To qualify for the finale, just win a Native New Yorker location by eating the most “medium” Native New Yorker chicken wings in 10 minutes and 60 seconds.

This contest is open to Amateur eaters only, and is not open to professional eaters. This contest is meant to be a “novelty” type competition for loyal wing loving customers to promote wings in our community. Competitors can only enter the contest one time at one location.

Wow tons of haters. I have never in my life entered a wing eating contest or any eating contest period. Yes I didn’t consume 80+ wings and I am sure that the 2 1/2 iced teas that I drank prior to the contest didn’t help either. I also ate two times prior that day cuz I found out around 1:30 about the event. The winner that night didn’t eat for 2 days prior so Yes I can get higher up in the ranks maybe even win a location but I am not trying to win a harley bu eating a S load of wings and dying in a horriable MC accident from Heart failure if i did so its a goood time and my daughter loves the new sleepy shirt I got for entering. I had a great time and by the end of this competition she will probably have a couple more. I love the wings and Hell the shirt is cool too.
I just want to add that my comment on eating a S load of wings and dying in a MC accident due to heart failure was not geared towards the prior winner Colin. I think it was fun and I hope to enter a couple more times, and adam I would love to pay for girl on a diet to try to eat 40+ wings. Congrats on winning tempe but my bet is on Colin if he is in the finals this year. Concentrate on the finals I think Colin is a shoe in for a 3rd year in a row. In the finals last year The “Tempe/Chicken Wing King” wasn’t even listed. Prince is more like it. All in good fun no haters come on guys. Don’t be 8====> S.

Fellas…You guys can talk all the trash you want to but Colin is going to destroy everyone. I was in the finals last year and I got to watch this guy 1st hand and he is so far above everyone else. He is a beast and no one is even close to this guy. I know I will be in the finals again but we are all playing for 2nd place and I hate to admit that but this guy is amazing. He ate 136 wings!!! The winners of 1st two local events didnt eat over 80…he is almost 60 wings above that. Dont want to rain on anyones parade but its just the truth.
I agree adam. tempe native was and IS the best location. Hell I love native so much I was a server at Alma School n Warner location before the Poates brothers shut the franchise down. I actually truth b told was going to open a franchise location in Boise Idaho but I moved back to AZ after only 6 months. The only wing place I found in the Boise/Eagle area was friggin applebees. Wow man you talk a lot of trash for someone who is about to enter in his 1st finals and has never been there before. I agree my finals appearance was shameful and I am definitely out to redeem myself. I was told not to eat 2 days before the finals and that was an extremely bad idea. This year I know what im doing and will have a better showing. I will take down the Glendale contest today and see you in the finals. I also agree playing for 2nd place sucks but come on…do you really think you got a shot at the 2 time champ? I can admit when someone is just better and he is better than me at putting down the wings.
