Adam English opened the Battle of the Bone 3 season by capturing Tempe in fine fashion.   English ate over 2lbs 9 ounces edging Jason Lin by less than five ounces.

 A large and vociferous crowd packed the Native New Yorker in Glendale to support keeping the Phoenix Coyotes in Arizona. The event, put on by the Save the Coyotes Coalition and SaveTheCoyotes.com, encouraged fans from across the Valley to band together to show their passion and pride for the team. That passion and pride was on full display Saturday morning. Justin Hesse won Week 6 of the Battle of the Bone Wing Eating contest at the Native New Yorker in Yuma.   Hesse  ate close to 2lbs of medium Native New Yorker wings.   He edged out Rod Hughes and Jacob Smiley. Yuma winner Justin Hesse will now have time to train for the finale at the end of the summer. Reminder that a portion of proceeds going to the W. Jess Williams won Week 5 of the Battle of the Bone Wing Eating contest at the Native New Yorker in Glendale.   Williams quietly ate close to 2lbs of medium Native New Yorker wings.   He edged out Larry Flores and Matthew Wheeler. We are happy to report that former DQ’ed contestant in 2008, Tom Corcoran did not have to use the Chuck Bucket! Michael Vaughn aka “The Natural” ate over 1lb 10 ounces to win on April Fools Day at the Native New Yorker on Bell rd just off the I17.  Vaughn topped runner up by just four (4) ounces.  He will get to train and prepare for the finale at the end of the summer.  The overall grand prize winner wins a Chandler Harley-Davidson, while the runner up gets two Dbacks season tickets for 2010!  Big thanks to everyone who came out to route on the competitors.  Battle of the Bone Wing Eating... more
